I have made the decision today to take a week break from P90X in order to allow my shoulder to heal. I've decided to stay active doing Interval training all week and doing the stretch 3 days and an abs routine at the gym 3 days.
I went to the gym this morning and was able to do the interval training without any pain in my shoulder, even though I was doing a full stride sprint. I pressed each interval until my heart rate was at a minimum of 165 beats per minute. I was even able to get it up to 181 beats per minute for the max. I only did a couple of exercises for abs because I was short on time. I had to do 2 football games again today.. one in VA and one in MD. Both of my boys had a victory today (Proud Papa)!!! :-)
I guess with that.. I will suspend my countdown on Sunday and I will start back on my P90X phase 2, week 2 on the following Monday.

Hi, I just wanted to say I've really enjoyed your blog. I was always in relatively good shape but gained about 30lbs while in grad school. I started P90X five days ago to get the weight off and have been checking your blog each day. I find it very motivational to see real people getting real results.

Sorry to hear about your shoulder injury. Resting it is the wisest decision at this point.
Big, perhaps you can use the lat pulldown machine in the gym after recovering. At least you can adjust the weight.
